This is about the Quadfire Classic Bay 1200 FS pellet stove. I've own this since Oct 2004 & for the first few years it ran ok. But after 3 years of used, the electronic control has gone bad & had erratic feeding cycles. To this date, (January 2012), I have replaced 4 electronic controller for this stove at $220+ a pop. WHAT A PIECE OF CRAP. Either they have erratic feeding cycle, or it will stop feeding at the middle of the cycle. AVOID THIS PELLET STOVE! I've checked if the pellets have stucked in the feeding mechanism forming a bridge but it has not. Very disgusted with its performance. I had a Whitfield & Lopi before & never had any feeding problems. I've been using pellet stoves since 1993 & I know the ins & outs of these machines. I do my own service on these machines. This Quadrafire Classic Bay 1200 has the highest maintenance of all stoves (on the electronic control unit). STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU PLAN TO SPEND MONEY EVERY 2 YEARS.

We bought our second one of these stoves this past fall. We had one in our old house and were sorry to leave it. This new one does have a bigger hopper. A great all around stove. We heated this whole winter for $700 in pellets. The previous owners of this house spent $1800 heating last year with gas.
