This block has a non-skid bottom to secure a canoe to the top of a vehicle with no rack.  It also has a cut-out that will fit most factory and aftermarket rack systems.  Most applications will require 4 blocks to secure 1 canoe.  Together they carry your canoe safely and securely upside down while attached to the gunwhales.
